Salads, whether warm or cold, are perfect for any time of year.  The colours, textures, ingredients and flavours are endless.  Salads are the perfect food for bringing more vegetables and pulses into your diet.  Give a new recipe a try!

Summer is here and watermelon truly represents the summer holidays for me.  Here, I have brought together two favourite ingredients to celebrate this wonderful time of year.


As summer is decidedly entrenched, I have been looking for new salad recipes.  It is nectarine season and what better way is there to celebrate this deliciously juicy fruit?


This salad is the most unassuming salad I have ever tasted and yet, I go back to it again and again.  It takes just 4 ingredients to put together this tasty, fresh and unusual winter or summer salad.  We have it as a main meal as the cheese and ham are quite filling.  Try it, you will be amazed.


This couscous salad is a perfect summer salad.  The feta, olives and almonds give it a "Greek" twist whilst the pomegranate seeds, fresh cherry tomatoes and edamame add freshness and colour.  I serve this with lovely honey-glazed salmon or on its own as a starter.  Dig in!


A quinoa and fish recipe, perfect for anytime of year.  This recipe brings together a healthy portion of vegetables, which add texture and colour to the mix.  The flaky fish is added for extra protein.  Even the kids give me compliments on this dish, which can be eaten as a warm salad or a hot main. Simple, fast and wholesome.
